About the Sub Plan History Source

Important Note: For ease of operation, the Sub Plan History Source for each sub plan can be determined in the Master Plan, collectively or in a customized manner. However, the History Source may be edited in the sub plan.

After Plan Codes and Data Tables have been developed in the Master Plan, the History Source can be determined for the associated sub plans, in support of Goal Attainment analyses. The History Setting options are the same as those available for a Regular Plan: Manual Input, Start Point Analysis, or Import from an Existing Plan.

Sub plan Settings for Importing the History Source from an Existing Plan

When selecting Company, Establishment, and Plan, only Master Plans will display as potential sources.

An extra menu will ask whether sub plans should match the History Source by:

  • Plan Code
  • Establishment

By default, Manual Input will be required for each sub plan lacking a match. To change this default, check the box for: Assign start point for all selected plans that do not have a match.

Assign History Source Settings to Sub plans

Most likely, you will apply the same Sub Plan History Source to all sub plans associated with the Master Plan. However, if a new sub-plan location is added or another circumstance requires, the History Setting can be customized for one or more sub plans.

After making the History Source selection, Expand the Sub Plans menu in the lower portion of the page to display a checklist of sub plans. All sub plans are checked by default.

Include the appropriate sub plans, and click the [Assign] button.

If Manual Input is selected in the Master Plan: Enter values into each sub plan to obtain accurate Goal Attainment reporting.

Optional New Hire History Settings and Sub plans

If the optional New Hire History Settings are changed on the History Settings tab, they are cascaded to sub plans by default. However, you may uncheck the box.
